What currently constrains the sector
Freight moves in small consignments over long distances on a network whose coverage has not kept pace with economic growth. The result is high delivered costs, unpredictable journey times and accelerated road wear. The constraint is rarely a single missing link; it is the absence of sequencing between road, rail, port and logistics investment.
