Accessibility Statement

The platform targets WCAG 2.2 AA. This states what has been implemented and what has not — an accessibility statement that only lists successes is not useful to the people who need it.

Implemented

  • Semantic landmarks and a skip link to the main content on every page
  • Keyboard operation throughout, including the mega menu, search and filters
  • Visible focus indication on every interactive element
  • Text contrast meeting WCAG 2.2 AA against the platinum and white surfaces
  • Body text at 16px and above; metadata never below 12px with wide tracking
  • Wide tables and diagrams scroll within their own container, never the page
  • All motion respects prefers-reduced-motion and degrades to a static render
  • Form fields carry associated labels; icon-only controls carry accessible names
  • Automated WCAG 2.2 AA testing (axe-core) passes with zero violations across fourteen representative pages

Known gaps

  • A full assistive-technology audit with screen reader users has not yet been carried out. Automated testing catches roughly a third of accessibility barriers; it does not substitute for this.
  • Colour is used alongside text in status chips, but a dedicated non-colour indicator audit is outstanding
  • The project map view awaits a keyboard-navigable cartographic implementation
  • Only fourteen representative pages are covered by the automated sweep, not all 78 routes
