Real learning. Real people. A growing agricultural future.

Three connected areas of work

Learn agriculture. Grow food. Build livelihoods.

OKA FARMS connects education with practical production and farm delivery. Its manager and field team work within NBP to bring learning, seedlings and agricultural projects together.

  1. 01

    Education that starts early

Age-tailored activities introduce children and teenagers to food production, enterprise, environmental care and leadership.

  2. 02

    Seedlings and technical guidance

Climate-smart planting materials, nursery work and agricultural consultations help turn knowledge into practical growing.

  3. 03

    Projects from planning to follow-up

Farm assessment, design, implementation support and monitoring connect agricultural aspirations with an organised delivery process.

One agricultural journey

Five programme arms. A place for every stage of life.

School programmes, university engagement, individual enterprise and community farming form one connected pathway.

Children learning to plant in a garden with an OKA FARMS facilitator

01 · OKA KIDS

Play, stories and supervised garden activities help children discover where food comes from. They plant, water, observe and share what they learn with their families.

  • School gardens and small growing containers
  • Seeds, soil, water and a personal growth diary
  • Food awareness, responsibility and care for nature

Sponsor a school garden, seed kits or teaching handbooks.

From knowledge to production

Better planting materials. Better prepared farm projects.

OKA FARMS combines nursery production, agricultural consultations and practical implementation support. Its activities include crop growing, integrated farm planning and demonstrations of growing techniques.

Learners working among nursery seedlings

Seedlings & nursery production

Planting materials and practical guidance for growers, supported by crop selection, nursery care and local growing conditions.

Plants growing through openings in a vertical gardening tower

Growing techniques & innovation

Vertical growing demonstrations and reported grafting experiments, including the multi-fruit “fruit salad tree”, create opportunities for learning and horticultural development.

Farm consultations & delivery

Site assessment, production planning, land preparation and ongoing technical support help farmers structure their projects and address productivity challenges.

Plan the next agricultural project with NBP

Expansion priorities include a planned OKA FARMS centre in Kumba. Individuals and farming groups can discuss their next project, training needs and potential sponsorship through NBP.

Programme experience

A foundation to build on. An impact to keep measuring.

OKA FARMS reports reaching over 4,500 children and teenagers across five regions of Cameroon over two years. The supplied programme report documents practical agricultural initiation between March and May 2026.

Operation “Show Me Your Farm”

The March–May 2026 initiative gave young participants maize seeds, encouraged planting and followed up to see who had established a farm. This connects an educational activity with responsibility, practical results and lessons for the next programme cycle.

Learn → Receive seeds → Plant → Care → Show results → Improve

What sponsorship can help measure

  • Learners attending and completing practical activities
  • School gardens and community plots established
  • Seedlings planted, survival and harvest records
  • Enterprise milestones and use of sponsored resources

The reporting plan, baseline and responsibilities should be agreed with NBP for each supported project.
